And just like that, fair week is officially over. The animals are home, the trailers are unloaded, the laundry is caught up, and we’re finally sleeping in our own beds again. We’re exhausted, but in the best possible way, and feeling incredibly thankful for another week full of memories, friendships, hard work, and a whole lot of fun.

We couldn’t be more proud of the girls and all the hard work they put into showing their horses. Watching them work, learn, grow, and step into the show ring is one of the best parts of fair week. There are long days, early mornings, plenty of sweat, and probably more than a little stress, but seeing them give it their all makes every minute worth it.

Fair week has always felt a little like our family’s summer vacation. It pulls us away from our normal routines and gives us a week to slow down in a different kind of way. The kids spend their days running around with old friends and making new ones, and we get to catch up with people we don’t see nearly enough. There’s something special about seeing the kids make memories that will hopefully be just as special to them as our own fair memories are to us.

Of course, we can’t recap fair week without talking about the outfits! Between long days at the fairgrounds, time in the arena, and nights spent in the grandstands, I brought plenty of cute looks along for the week. Here are a few of our favorite fair week outfits, proof that you can survive the dust, heat, and long days while still looking cute (& comfy) doing it.

We came home exhausted, covered in dust, and with a whole lot of laundry to do… but also with a whole lot of memories we’re thankful for.
