Winter Blues Body Reset

Winter has a sneaky way of weighing on us. Let’s be honest: winter wrecks routines. Between the cold, the darkness, and the suspicious number of snacks involved, it’s easy to feel like your body is running on low battery. The shorter days, heavier meals, slower routines, missed school days, and lack of sunshine can leave us feeling foggy, unmotivated, and disconnected from our bodies! This winter blues body reset is a gentle nudge back toward feeling good in your body without giving up everything cozy, cause you deserve a cozy blanket & a good book!

Starting how I start all my days, with my favorite supplements from Beautiful YĆ«, I mean I don’t go a day without them! Followed with a workout I don’t always want to do but am so thankful I did later! I use my Peloton Tread & use the Peloton workouts! I did a mountain hike and couldn’t forget my weighted vest! A quick sauna session to sweat out all the winter sluggishness (I have the Vital+ but this one is super similar and 1/2 the price)! A few minutes on the vibration plate that always leaves me feeling my abs & work double duty and wear my new red light mask that absolutely ensures my kids that I’m an alien.

After all that, it’s finally time for a shower and pretend I’m at a spa instead of my own bathroom! I go in with the Himalayan scrub (I’ve been using this one for years) to exfoliate, purple shampoo & conditioner to revive my sad winter hair, and a shower steamer because who doesn’t want that spa feel?! Post-shower, it’s body lotion everywhere to help moisturize and for an even self tan! For the hair I swear by this bonding treatment & hair oil (that also smells absolutely amazing) to bring back the soft, smooth hair! Now it’s time to try out a very highly recommended self-tanner. I let it sit for a solid two hours, because patience is part of the process, before rinsing it off!

Then it’s time to toss on my favorite pajamas, grab my minky blanket and my favorite book and calling it a reset well done.
